Helmets and Other Protective Gear
The skate park recommends that everyone wear a helmet. Helmets are mandatory for all park users under the age of 15. Helmets, as well as other protective gear, are available for rent at the park. If you have any questions about equipment, the facility staff will be happy to help you choose the right gear.
Shoes
Flat-soled shoes are best suited for skateboarding and other sports, as they allow you to feel the board firmly under your feet. Additionally, flat-soled shoes don’t slip off the board as easily, making it easier for you to maintain your balance.
Clothing
When practicing, opt for clothing that feels comfortable and allows for freedom of movement. Obstacles in the hall or the floor may sometimes be dusty or otherwise dirty. Choose your clothing accordingly, as falling is part of the sport.
GRIP Skate Park
offers a safe and enjoyable environment for skateboarding, scootering, biking, and rollerblading. The park is designed to accommodate enthusiasts of all skill levels and to facilitate learning new skills.
Users of the GRIP Skate Park are expected to follow staff instructions and adhere to the general rules. The park serves as a recreational space for various sports, and every user must do their part to ensure that the experience is enjoyable for everyone. The facility has a zero-tolerance policy toward bullying and discriminatory behavior. The use of intoxicants on the premises is prohibited.
We recommend that first-time visitors receive an orientation from the facility staff. Always start your session by familiarizing yourself with the areas where you’ll be skating. For example, the street section of the facility features movable obstacles whose shape and placement may vary from day to day. The facility offers a great opportunity to gradually learn tricks and skills—start with small obstacles and move on to larger ones once you feel confident.
At the skatepark, people practicing different disciplines often share the same sessions. This requires flexibility and consideration from all users. If you need space for your trick or line, politely let others know. Give all skaters space and time to practice their tricks. Remember the skatepark etiquette: “https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ds5sqWkekB4”! Skateboarding schools and other instructed sessions are also held in various areas of the facility, which means that certain areas may be reserved for a specific time. Check the facility’s reservation calendar to see the current availability of the different areas.
If you encounter disruptive behavior at the facility, please report it immediately to a staff member. The same applies if you notice a broken obstacle or any other problem.
Community spirit is important; let’s encourage one another, help first-timers and younger skaters in particular, and respect everyone’s space and safety. By following these guidelines and practicing good manners, we ensure that the GRIP skatepark is a safe, fun, and inspiring place for everyone to enjoy.
